Hypnotherapy: What to Expect (Part 2)
In Part 1, we explored how the mind works, what hypnotherapy is rooted in, and its long history as a
Licensed mental health counseling and hypnotherapy in Moses Lake, Washington, with Megan Rosenberg, LCPC. Serving Washington and Montana.
Maybe you didn’t notice it at first. The struggle built slowly, until one day you realized you’d been carrying it for a long time.
You’ve teeter-tottered back and forth, wondering if things could actually be different. And now you’re here, looking for help. That’s the exciting part, because reaching out means you’re ready, and being ready is where real change begins.
My path into this work started in the classroom. I began as a teacher working with adolescents, and that’s where I first saw how much someone’s life can change when they feel truly seen and supported. It pulled me toward something deeper, so I went on to earn my master’s in mental health and rehabilitation counseling and spent years walking alongside people of all ages, in all kinds of seasons of life.
I bring the full education, training, and clinical standards of a licensed therapist to your sessions, along with compassion and a genuine belief that change is possible for you. I take a client-centered approach that meets your individual needs and draws on a variety of proven techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, Gestalt, and more.
So often we let life pass us by, carrying the same struggles year after year, until one day we realize how much time has gone. You don’t have to look back with regret. The change you’ve been wanting can start today.
As a licensed clinical therapist, I use hypnotherapy techniques to help adults who are ready for real change rewire old patterns, heal the things life has chipped away at, and get back on a path worth loving. I bring full clinical training to this work. Doctors have become increasingly supportive of clients using this intervention under licensed professionals.
I draw on a range of proven methods, including CBT, DBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, and Gestalt, and bring in the right tools for your needs rather than forcing you into one method.
We move at a pace that fits you, with no fixed timeline and the option to add hypnotherapy if you choose and whenever you’re ready.
My approach is gentle by design, so you can make real progress without having to dig up or relive painful memories.
I prefer to call it subconscious healing, because that’s what it really is.
The truth is, you already enter this state every day. As you wake in the morning and drift off at night, your brain waves naturally slow and your subconscious mind opens up. In a session, we simply create that same calm, relaxed state on purpose, then gently work to remove the blocks and obstacles that have been keeping you stuck in anxiety, old patterns, or goals that stay just out of reach.
What makes this approach so powerful is how gentle it is. You don’t have to relive your trauma or even know exactly what’s holding you back. We simply clear the path so your mind can form new, healthier patterns, often faster than traditional talk therapy alone.
And you don’t have to choose between the two. Many clients begin with traditional therapy and add subconscious healing when they’re ready or simply stick to one or the other.
We can start wherever you are.
Over time, I found my home working with adults who are ready for real change. I do this work because I believe people aren’t meant to stay stuck and that trust is the foundation of any relationship.
With the right support and personalized therapy, I believe everyone can experience real change and get back on a path they love.
Watching someone find that for themselves is always so meaningful.
We start with a free consultation to make sure we're the right fit. This is a no-pressure conversation about what brought you here and where you want to go. If we're a good match, we'll get started. If not, I'll help you find someone who is. Either way, you won't leave empty-handed.
Your first session is an initial intake where we get to know your story and your goals. From there, we begin the real work. There's no rigid structure and no rushing. We can weave in various interventions and techniques to suit your unique needs, and we move at the pace that's right for you, for as long as you need.
The goal was never for you to need me forever. As you find your footing, we'll bring our work to a close with intention, leaving you with the tools and confidence to maintain your progress and keep moving forward on your own.
Here’s something I love sharing: the first few minutes after you wake up can be a meaningful opportunity to set a healthy foundation for your day.
I put together this short guide that may be helpful in incorporating healthy practices into your daily routine.
